We received some very valuable feedback on how the technique can be improved upon and optimized, to make it even better, and of course — simpler! We are re-doing our example files to be more modular (relatively free from schema), ensuring we include thorough documentation, and properly test the files before publishing them through the weekend.
We had planned to video the session, but did not have the time to pull it off. The example files will mirror the 4 Use Cases, and will include a simplified PDF file of the presentation.
    ...
    kind feedback afterwards..afterwards. Jason and

    Basic info about my session
This is a window sync technique, where you have a primary working list or single-record form view that contains records that you have to review for possible actions to be performed upon…and then a secondary document or floating window that syncs to the active list record — providing the UI for searching/editing the record in detail.

    Warning: fopen
I have gotten your version of WebDirect_Params.fmp12 and Mike Duncan's version in Safari. When I try it in Chrome or Firefox I get this error message:
Warning: fopen(/tmp/184079D8-AA6E-3249-8263-522AA9C843EA.txt): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <b>/home/smilep6/public_html/php/fm_read.php on line10
    Unable to open file!

Not being a php coder I do not have a clue why it works in one browser and not the others.

All Mike said was "You might try to point to the location of the php files with an IP address instead." I tried that with the same results.

    Do you have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance - Sam

    So my top 3 suggestions
1 - Provide us with a way to do profiling... when running in debug mode,. So we can see what areas can use improvement2 - Progress bars so we can provide ongoing feedback on what our solutions are doing3 - Multi selections - ability to select a group of records and act on them just as one would do in the finder or in any other program like excel for example.
